Well it appears there isn’t much the Android modding team can’t accomplish as apparently Android 2.2 Froyo can now play nice on the original Android device the T-mobile G1 and the T-Mobile myTouch 3G along with the HTC Dream and Magic.
According to an article over on Engadget by Sean Hollister, Cyanogen’s group of ROM hackers have now come up with a fully functioning stable build of CyanogenMod 6 which is based on Android 2.2 Froyo.
Apparently CyanogenMod 6 release candidate packs in loads of tweaks but apparently doesn’t feature Adobe Flash 10.1; however according to the article Chrome to Phone, SurfaceFlinger and the camera and WiFi are working really well.
CyanogenMod 6 release candidate instructions can be found by hitting up the XDA-Developers forum, but remember if you are not real careful you risk bricking your device.
