Earlier I posted on the iPhone 4 not being recommended by the consumer advocacy group Consumer Reports; you can read that article (here). Basically Consumer Reports won’t recommend the iPhone 4 until such times Apple fixes the antenna problem with the device.
It appears however that Apple isn’t too pleased with this as according to an article over on Apple Insider by way of TUAW, several threads on Apple official online forums where iPhone users where discussing the Consumer Reports test have now been removed by Apple.
Apparently 6 threads have been deleted although some where saved in cashes and are still viewable, and author T J Luoma of TUAW wrote… “Sadly, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Apple deleting discussion board threads on topics which are unflattering to Apple’s products. It’s closer to the fiftieth time.”
Luoma also says “In fact, we’ve heard so many reports about this happening that it seems safe to call this standard operating procedure for Apple’s discussion boards. That’s not to say that there are no negative threads on the discussion boards, but the ones that are there are the ones that Apple’s moderators have decided to leave active.”
Looks like Apple doesn’t like people talking about the issues with their latest piece of tech, their iPhone 4 baby, but no matter how many treads Apple deletes it wont hide the truth of the matter will it and wont change the fact there is an iPhone 4 antenna problem.
