So here’s the latest rumour on the HTC EVO 4G front, apparently word has it that the first 4G surfing smartphone on the Sprint network may receive some retooling for GSM networks and will be renamed the HTC Ace.
According to a Chuong Nguyen article over on Pocket Now, by way of Android Spin, the HTC Ace will pack the HTC EVO 4G 4.3 inch touch screen and apparently word has it that the HTC Ace will run Android 3.0 Gingerbread.
Speculated specs for the HTC Ace are that EVO 4G sized touch screen which will apparently be HTC’s own rival to the Super AMOLED, an 8 megapixel camera along with a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 1.5 GHz processor, 1080p HD recording and that Gingerbread OS.
The HTC Ace packing 1080p is a step up from the HTC EVO 4G as that device offers 720p HD video. Apparently these rumoured specs have been bandied around by a couple of sources but nothing has been confirmed in any way, so for the time being all is pure speculation.
