Now that the iPhone 4 offers face to face video calling over WiFi does it work while a few thousand feet up in the air? Apparently the answer to that is yes FaceTime works well when on a plane as this video we have for your viewing pleasure shows.

The video comes our way courtesy of Darren Murph over on Engadget and the video shows Bill G, a TUAW reader having a video conversation on his iPhone 4 with TUAW whilst on his way to Texas on American Airlines and was able to connect to the plane’s in-flight WiFi.

The video which can be viewed below lasts just over two minutes and Bill proves he’s on a plane by using his iPhone 4 to show outside the craft, and around the airplane, so he was definitely up in the clouds.
