New features include iOS4 compatibility issues that have now been resolved and fixed issues with the British Open Championship iPhone app not starting properly on certain devices.

Great idea! Seems like a great app for increasing audience interaction and engagement, which is something apps are really good at doing is made well.
As apps continue to grow in popularity, I think we will see more and more of these user centred designs aimed at making mobile browsing easier. Big businesses like eBay are already starting to see the benefits of apps, and there's even a competition at http://www.ukesnc.com which encourages app developers to submit their ideas and be given funding and support to make them into viable businesses themselves.
Perhaps this app will even make golf more interesting! Then again…
