We all know that the iPhone 4 antenna problem has caused quite a storm, and that Apple has been quite adamant is telling iPhone 4 users to purchase one of the Apple designed Bumper cases as it will solve the ”Death Grip” problem.
Apple also stands to make a great deal of money if every iPhone user opts to do as Apple suggests and purchases a Bumper case from them at a charge of $30 a pop, and the word is Apple will not give out any free Bumper cases.
It seems to me, although I could be wrong in this, but as far as I am aware, Apple hasn’t released any iPhone case at the same time as previous iPhone models, so why release a purpose built Apple iPhone case so it can be released when they released the iPhone 4?
This leads me to wonder if Apple were forewarned of the problems with the new iPhone 4 antenna design and then designed a case to solve the issue, why else would Apple need to release the Bumper case at the same time as the iPhone 4?
There have been rumours that Apple knew of the design flaw long before the iPhone 4 was released, so just maybe knowing of the flaw Apple designed the bumper so to be ready for the expected complaints.
It also seems to me that if Apple was aware of the antenna issue beforehand and had no way of fixing the problem other than the bumper case, then Apple should in all fairness to their customers issue a free bumper case with the iPhone 4.
I’d like to know our readers thoughts on this matter, do you think Apple designed and released the Bumper case because they knew of the iPhone 4 antenna problem? Please feel free to post your views in our comments area below…many thanks.
