You may have heard that Apple is holding a press conference today at 10am PT, which is roughly 6pm UK time, and although no one really know what Apple will announce during said press conference will Apple announce a recall of the iPhone 4?
Not according to an article by Marin over on Intomobile as apparently a “person familiar with the matter” has contacted the Wall Street Journal and said that Apple has no plans to recall the iPhone 4. However, we all know how that “person familiar with the matter” can sometimes be completely wrong don’t we, so there is always a possibility that Apple will bite the bullet and issue a recall.
Interestingly, the WSJ article also says that Apple knew of the reception problem before the launch of the iPhone 4, but apparently Apple CEO Steve Jobs liked the design of the iPhone 4 with the antenna on the outside they pushed forward.
This leads me to ask the question, if Apple was aware of the situation with the design of the iPhone 4 and went ahead anyway and decides not to mention the possibility of a problem to its customers, can Apple really be trusted by the iPhone faithful in future? Do you think Apple may issue a recall of the iPhone 4 during the press conference?
