It seems that Apple wants everyone to fully understand that their iPhone 4 is not the only smartphone that suffers from the performance issue, and has now posted a smartphone antenna performance page on their website so everyone can understand.
The news of the new page being put up on the Apple website comes our way courtesy of Daily Mobile, and on said page Apple lays out for all to see, the iPhone 4 in comparison with the BlackBerry Bold 9700, the HTC Droid Eris, Samsung Omnia II and iPhone 3GS.
Now already BlackBerry maker Research In Motion have issued an official response to Apple’s claims which can be read (here) however, unless Apple has “tampered” with the videos they have on their website it does seem that these other smartphone do suffer the same problem to some extent.
It seems that the old saying comes into play here…”A problem shared is a problem halved,” not that I’m saying Apple is in any way trying to offload any of their antenna issue flak they have been getting of course, but what better way to alleviate gripes over a product than pointing the accusing finger at someone else’s products to share that flak.
