Apple iPhone 4 Bumper Giveaway to Cost $175 Million
How much is the price for a good reputation for a company? Well in order to keep customers happy over the iPhone 4 antennagate issue, Apple has promised to give a free bumper case to every iPhone 4 customer through till September’s end, which is obviously going to cost Apple a pretty penny.
According to an article over on Ubergizmo, in keeping iPhone 4 customers happy by doing a bumper case giveaway, Apple has announced it will cost them a cool $175 million to do so.
Having said that, when you consider a analysts estimated cost of a full iPhone 4 recall being around $1.5 billion, although the actual figure for a full scale recall isn’t confirmed, $175 million doesn’t seem that bad at all for allying the wrath of the iPhone user.
Of course Apple stock holders won’t be too pleased with that $175 million figure, but like I said what acceptable price can you put on a company’s reputation for being fair to its customers.

Not really going to damage their profits that much!
I asked for my bumper, but I would rather have a recall. The reception issue is ridiculous.
