So the Android faithful can know just how many Android users are using what Android platform version, Google has pushed out the latest in figures for Android platform distribution. While last month Google showed that 50 percent of Androids were running Android 2.1 that figure has now gone up slightly.
According to an article by Andrew Munchbach of the Boy Genius Report, by way of a post on Android developers, it shows that Android 2.1 Éclair is dominating the Android space and in a single month has jumped 5.5 percent.
Of other Android OS versions, the latest version, Android 2.2 Froyo grabs just 3.3 percent while Android 1.5 commands 18.9 percent and Android 1.6 grabs 22.1 percent of the platform while Android 2.0.1 and 2.0 are placed in the “other” category.
As the roll out of Android 2.2 Froyo continues perhaps when Google releases their next sate of Android report hopefully Froyo will have snatched even a bigger slice of the Android cake.
