The application hit the App Store this morning and even more good news for those of you that are interested is that it is actually free. You can also set a parking reminder, track your Elite Status progress, view personal flight details including your gate, seat and also flight status at a glance and more.

American Airlines have stated in a recent press release that also future updates to the application will take full advantage of its GPS capabilities and also be able to offer push notifications.
