Apple seems to be on the ball for once as apparently the security hole in the iPhone 4 PDF that enables the likes of JailbreakMe to exploit the hole has now been patched by Apple and will be pushed out in an upcoming software update.
According to Gadget Venue and by way of an article over on Cnet, an Apple spokeswoman issues a statement which said…”We’re aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.”
So it would seem that the PDF security hole will be closed when Apple releases iOS 4.1, which should be before the end of the month, and thus again close the avenue to jailbreaking the iPhone 4.
However no doubt once Apple has sealed this avenue hackers will again be working to exploit any other avenue to make the iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1 jailbroken, and probably will come not too long after Apple push out iOS 4.1.
