Good news as it seems that Verizon Wireless have actually solved the issues in relation to the stock of the Droid Incredible. Those that are interested in purchasing the new device can do so from the carrier’s website here.
Verizon claim that the device will be shipped by August 9th, which is great as this means users will only have to wait three days to get their Droid Incredible device. A recent article over at softpedia by Ionut Arghire reports that this is much less than those that ordered there device about a month ago.
It is pretty much common knowledge that the stock issues that Verizon Wireless had with the device were caused mainly by the fact that HTC experienced shortages with the AMOLED display component of the device which was to be dispatched by Samsung.
Those issues have now been resolved and HTC have decided to pack Super LCD screens from Sony in some high end Android based devices which include the Nexus One and the HTC Desire. Said to be one of the nicest Android based devices on the United States market the Droid Incredible comes packed with a 3.7 WVGA Touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera Android 2.1 a 1GHz Snapdragon processor plus much more.
The other high end Android based device at the Big Red is also registering some delays namely the Droid X by Motorola said to be shipping by August 24th which is a delay of some three weeks and can be purchased from the carrier’s website here.
DROID Incredible is available for purchase here, while DROID X can be snagged from here.
