HTC has now released their sales figures for July 2010, figures which look to have doubled on the same time the previous year, which is mainly attributed to HTC’s vast array of Android based smartphones.
According to an article over on Fonehome, HTC sales figures for July 2010 reached T$24.45 billion which is roughly $764 million, while last July sales figures were T$10.83 billion.
Over the last year and a half, HTC has mainly concentrated on pushing out Android based smartphones like the Google Nexus One and HTC Desire; however HTC will not remain exclusive to Android as they will be returning to “long-term software partner” Microsoft when Windows Phone 7 launches.
Whether HTC will do as well with Windows Phone 7 as they have with the Android platform remains to be seen, but I can’t see HTC dropping Android fully for WP7 so they can always fall back if needs be.
