Apple Covent Garden Store Gets 4000 Visitors in 4 Hours
In case you missed it, Apple opened a new Apple Store in Covent Garden, London, the other day and it’s the biggest Apple Store in the world reportedly. Well apparently we Brits can’t get enough of all things Apple as this weekend the new store was inundated with visitors.
According to an article over on Mobile Today, the Covent Garden store opened at 10am and a queue stretched across Covent Garden, and those 4000 commemorative custom Apple T-shirts they were giving out, ran out in just 4 hours.
The all new Covent Garden Apple Store is Apple’s 300th store and of those 300, just 28 are in the UK. The Covent Garden flagship store houses 3 floors and should alleviate the pressure on the Regent Street Apple store.
The new UK outlet’s ground floor features 4 zones, iPhone, Mac, iPod and iPad while the next floor houses a “Start up Area’, where you can get your device set up for the first time, while on the first floor is the ‘Genius bar,’ which is a place for Apple fans and also has a ‘Kids Zone’ for schools, while the last floor is for software, accessories and business users briefing room.
