HTC Desire FroYo in 7 – 10 days says Vodafone

Vodafone have put something a little more concrete out in relation to the very much talked about and anticipated HTC Desire FroYo update.

Great news for Vodafone HTC Desire owners out there as the FroYo Android 2.2 update will remove the Vodafone 360 branded applications and also bookmarks that arrived with last weeks 2.1 update which I’m sure will please a number of you as reported over on eurodroid.

The statement claims that the company have listened to feedback from customers on a number of points in relation to the recent 360 Android 2.1 update and have made some changes to the roll out plans. The 2.2 Android update for HTC Desire owners on Vodafone will be based on the HTC open market version of the software and will be customised to ensure the network settings are installed.

For those customers who have already downloaded the 360 update the great news is that the Android 2.2 update will remove the 360 applications and leave the homepage and bookmarks on your current settings. For those that want to keep the access to the 360 services you will be able to do so once the Android 2.2 compatible version is available but in the meantime you can download applications such as 360 People from the Android Marketplace.
