Well Motorola fans it looks like the companies MotoBlur UI doesn’t have that much of a future in store as apparently Motorola is no longer going to focus on the custom user interface for the Android operating system.
According to an article over on Engadget by Donald Melanson, by way of Android and Me, Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha, speaking at Motorola’s Q2 earning call said that MotorBlur will continue to feature in some of their mobile phones but Motorola will “focus on the value proposition of products and not MotorBlur as a brand name in its own right.”
Apparently Jha continued with…”Being able to convey the value proposition around MOTOBLUR is not an easy thing to do in a 30-second ad spot,” but insisted that “MOTOBLUR continues to be important. You will see increased functionality in MOTOBLUR”
So basically what this means is you won’t be seeing Motorola’s MotoBlur in public for much longer. So what do you think a good or bad decision by Motorola? Fell free to let us know your views by dropping us a comment.
