By now anyone who knows about smartphone realises that as soon as a new smartphone hits the streets it’s inevitably going to get dissected and inspected on the inside to see exactly what goes into making such a device.
According to an article over on Engadget by Sean Hollister, the guys over at iFixit have already got hold of the only just released Motorola Droid 2 smartphone and gone about the biz of ripping the device apart and putting its internal on display.
In total the Motorola Droid 2 has 24 parts, however although the Droid 2 soprts 802.11n WiFi and virtually doubles the horsepower of the original Motorola Droid the internal construction is almost identical to the original.
The Motorola Droid 2 packs in the same camera, LCD screen, speaker, logic board and even the same 1390 mAh Li-Ion Polymer Droid battery although it’s claimed the battery lasts longer in the Droid 2. Still it’s good to see they are keeping on top of thing when it comes to speed of disassembling the latest smartphone to hit the public arena, which means of course your normal Droid 2 user doesn’t need to do the same.
