If you are in the UK and aren’t one to sign up for a lengthy contract with a carrier you may prefer to go the Pay As You Go route, which means you have to shell out some cash up front for your smartphone but you do benefit from not having a set amount of cash coming out of your bank account every month due to contract obligations.
Well according to an article over on uSwitch by Martin Ellis, O2 UK now offers the iPhone 4 on a PAYG basis with the smartphone costing the buyer £495 for the 16GB iPhone 4, or if you prefer the 32GB iPhone 4 it will cost you £595.
Apparently if a PAYG customer tops up their smartphone with £10 a month they will get 300 texts along with 500MB of mobile data allowance per month, and there are apparently a variety of inclusive texts and call packages available.
Vodafone UK, Orange UK and Tesco have already delivered the iPhone 4 on a pay as you go basis to customers however thus far 3UK along with T-Mobile have not made any iPhone announcements. While O2 UK also have PAYG packages running on BlackBerry devices such as the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and BlackBerry Curve 8520.
