Not too long ago I posted an article whereby Orange UK stated that the white iPhone 4 would not be released in the United Kingdom until the end of the year; you can refresh your memory on that article by going (here).
However, apparently there has now been an update on that situation as according to an article over on Product-Reviews by Alan Ng, and by way of an article over on The Inquirer, Orange UK has done a u-turn on the expected release date for the white iPhone 4.
When the Inquirer contacted Orange UK in relation to their first white iPhone 4 statement to get some clarification, Orange now states that the white iPhone 4 will be available “later on in the year,” as opposed to the end of the year.
Apparently this is the u-turn email sent out by Orange UK to customers…“The email (previous) was sent to customers who have registered an interest in the Iphone. To clarify that we are now stating that it will be available later this year.”
Now of course ‘later on in the year’ could well mean the white iPhone 4 will hit at the end of the year as the actual release date for the white version is still somewhat of a mystery and will probably remain so until Apple is good and ready to deliver the white iPhone 4, hopefully before the end of the year.
