Fancy a bit of deep sea diving without getting wet? Well it appears that a new update to Google Earth for Android can do that for you with the launch of Google Earth 1.1 for Android which comes with a new feature.
According to an article over on Softpedia by Ionut Arghire, Google Earth 1.1 for Android now delivers the ability to explore the world’s oceans, as long as you own a smartphone that runs Android 2.1 OS and above.
The Google Mobile Blog states…“With the release of this feature, escape the hustle and bustle of life on land and discover the marine world using Google Earth on your mobile device. Once underwater, we can use the “look around” button to tilt the view and see the extent of this great undersea canyon.”
There is also another addition with Google Earth 1.1 for Android and that is the addition of an “Explore the Ocean” layer which features a multitude of videos and pictures which have been supplied by over 100 contributors.
