Yes the HTC Droid Incredible saw long delays in getting the Android smartphone available for the public, but the Droid Incredible has caught up with stock and has been available and looks to still be managing to keep up with demand.
However it appears with the availability of the HTC Droid Incredible something had to pay the price, and according to an article over on Droid-life by Kellex, it looks like the Droid X is paying that price with a shipping delay.
Apparently the Motorola Droid X has now been pushed back until the “9/8” which basically means any potential Droid X owner is looking at a little wait until they can get their mitts on the device that is of course as long as they don’t push that date back even further like they did with the Droid Incredible.
Kellex does mention though that although the Droid Incredible seems to be the top dog in the Droid family it still hasn’t received an update to Android 2.2, but then again neither has the Droid X as currently only the original Motorola Droid and the Droid 2 pack Froyo, so perhaps it’s time the rest were graced with the update.
