The new T-Mobile G2 already has a teaser site and there has been a lot of talk about this new successor to the G1, well the latest news is a little information about the Qualcomm MSM7230 CPU and its speeds.
It has been confirmed according to Android and Me that the G2 will now ship with the new MSM7230 processor, apparently this new chip will perform the same way the Samsung Hummingbird chip or TI’s OMAP3630 does.
The MSM7230 is a cool 45nm system-on-chip that contains a similar Scorpion CPU as the previous Snapdragon (QSD8x50) matched with an Adreno 205 GPU, HSPA+ 14.4 Mbps and HDMI out are other notable features supported.
The new G2 will come with Android 2.2 and support T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network, the new CPU will not be the most ground breaking speeds ever but at least it is a little more info for you to take in. Please watch the performance video below.
