Apparently a report pushed out earlier this week said that a whopping 104 million iOS user access social networking site Facebook each month, which suggests that iPhone, iPad and such users are very active in using Facebook.
However, according to an article over on Intomobile by Kelly Hodgkins, and by way of TUAW, the Facebook guys have recalculated the numbers and the outcome dips quite a bit down to under half the original number at 44 million iOS users.
Apparently the discrepancy occurred due to Facebook counting any person who opens the application as an active user, and also counted those Facebookers who liked or commented on a story.
Still although not as huge as 104 million, 44 million iOS users hitting up Facebook per month isn’t that bad and accounts for 29 percent of the 150 million users that check Facebook from a mobile device.
