iPhone 4 Proximity Sensor Fix Is Included in iOS 4.1

Not too long ago the word was that Apple wasn’t going to push out a fix for the proximity sensor problem when they release the new iOS 4.1, you can read the article (here); however it appears that that particular new was way off the mark and completely wrong.

According to an article over on TiPb, and numerous other reports, Steve Jobs started the Apple special event yesterday by listing bug fixes coming with iOS 4.1 and low and behold right there was a fix for the proximity sensor.

iOS 4.1 which is apparently scheduled to hit sometime next week will also carry bug fixes for Bluetooth and the performance problems with the iPhone 3G along with the proximity sensor fix, so is good news .

Just goes to show that sometimes we reporters do get it wrong occasionally but then mostly we can only report what the news doing the rounds is, so Apple can gloat for a short while knowing that said earlier reports fell by the wayside.

IT IS NOT FIXED!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I am so tired of this phone…Facetime and retina display and processor speed and all of that are just bogus trade-offs if the damned thing can't even work as a phone. SO STUPID!!! Yet every time I try to bring it up in forums, it's amazing how religiously fanboys defend their god. APPIC FAIL!!
