If you were hoping the new T-Mobile G2 smartphone was going to be one fast device as T-Mobile has billed the G2 as “the fastest smartphone experience in America,” then you will be somewhat disappointed as it won’t be.
According to an article over on Engadget by Sean Hollister, and by way of T-Mobile Scoop, apparently the Qualcomm Scorpion processor is a tad slow as they say the MSM7x30 chip will be clocked at 800MHz and not 1GHz.
It has also been confirmed by T-Mobile that the T-Mobile G2 will come out to play packing some nice Android 2.2 along with Adobe’s Flash 10.1 along with “one-touch quick keys.”
So if you were hoping for a 1GHz T-Mobile G2 it looks like your hopes have been dashed. There’s still no word on just when we’ll see the T-Mobile G2 hit store shelves and no word on expected pricing either.
