If you own an iPhone 4 and eagerly awaiting Apple’s release of their latest version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 4.1 which was announced during the Apple special event, you don’t have too long to wait before iOS 4.1 hits.

According to an article over on Engadget by Laura June, the Apple UK website states that iOS 4.1 will be released to the iPhoneing public on Wednesday the 8th of September, which looks to be good for UK iPhone owners.

However, the Apple US website doesn’t state a particular release date for iOS 4.1 but rather still shows iOS 4.1 as “coming soon,” so could it be that the UK will see the roll out of iOS 4.1 before our buddies over in the states?
