Orange has now become the first operator in the United Kingdom to deliver their new HD Voice service in the UK. Orange’s HD Voice decreases the perceived distance between users delivering crystal clear communication while reducing background noise.
Orange HD Voice is a major advancement in mobile voice calling nationwide in the United Kingdom and without the need for any extra cost to Orange customers that use an HD voice enabled smartphone.
With HD voice calls sound like the users are speaking face to face and cuts out background hisses and crackles found when using normal mobile phones and also does extremely well when in a noisy environment such as a concert or football match.
As of launch, Orange HD voice will be enabled for new variants of such devices as the Samsung Omnia Pro, Nokia E5, Nokia X6 and the Nokia 5230 with other HD voice enabled smartphones coming in future from Orange.
Orange HD voice should also do well in the broadcasting business reducing business reliance on ISDN lines and the necessity to transport guests to studios for interviews while other business will benefit from Orange HD voice where background noise is the norm such as construction sites and manufacturing plants.
