Huawei only recently unveiled their new Android 2.2 Froyo packing smartphone in the shape of the Hauwei Ideos at the IFA event and which we reported on (here), and it now looks like there’s a US carrier already interested in offering the smartphone.
According to an article over on Engadget Mobile by Sean Hollister, the Wall Street Journal reports that T-Mobile might be interested in delivering the Huawei Ideos to the US masses and could possibly be offering the handset before Christmas.
Spec wise the Huawei Ideos offers the user a 2.8 inch capacitive QVGA touch screen, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 3G, WiFi, mobile hotspot for up to 8 devices, and of course comes packing Android 2.2 Froyo.
Huawei expects the Ideos to fit in the $100 without contract segment, which is a nice low cost device for the run up to the festive season so no doubt more carriers will show on interest in the device, especially when a spokeswoman for Hauwei has said…”It’s safe to assuming we’re talking to all of the major carriers.”
