If you are an owner of an iPhone or Android device in the UK the possibility of hopping onto one of British Telecom’ 1.6 million WiFi hotspots have just become easier as BT have now launched the BT for iPhone and Android App.
According to an article over on Electric Pig by Sam Kieldsen, The BT for iPhone and Android App can deliver BT Total Broardband customers an auto-connection to any BT OPenZone and BT FON hotspot when in range.
Once you donload either the BT for iPhone app or the BT for Android app to your smartphone you will need to log in using your BT customer username and password. Once done the user can set up the application to hook up automatically.
Also freatures in the new BT apps is a weekly updated mapping service which can direct the user to the closest available hotspot. You can grab the free BT application from iTunes for the iPhone or the Android Market for you Android platform device and every time the app is downloaded BT will donate 50p to BBC Children In Need.
