The latest smartphone out of the Nokia camp is the much talked about Symbian^3 packing Nokia N8 and up until now it wasn’t clear if or when the Nokia N8 would see launch in the good ole US of A, but that has now changed.
According to an article over on Pocket Now by Evan Blass and by way of kauppalehti, Nokia Senior Comms Manager, Tapani Kaskinen, has been quoted as saying… “Advance orders begin shipping 30 September for 499 euros,” although that is a Google translation.
Spec wise US user can expect a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics along with 720p video capture, 3.5 inch nHD AMOLED capacitive touch screen, FM transmitter, Bluetooth 3.0, 16GB internal storage, Flash Lite 4.0, HDMI out, and microSD expansion up to 32GB.
There have been reports that the Nokia N8 packing Symbian^3 could be seen as somewhat outdated due to MeeGo and Symbian^4 almost ready for release. No word on any pricing for the US Nokia N8 as yet though.
