We haven’t heard much from Canada’s Rogers little brother, Fido lately but apparently word has it that Fido is gearing up to release their first Android toting smartphone in the form of the Acer Liquid e handset.
According to an article over on Mobile Syrup by Kate O’Brien and by way of the Howard Forums, training on the Acer Liquid e for Fido staff will begin this week with a view to launching the smartphone within the next few weeks.
Spec reminder on the Acer Liquid e…3.5 inch touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, Android 2.1 OS, Qualcomm 768 MHz Snapdragon processor, HTML browser, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and microSD expansion up to 32GB.
Price wise on Fido the Acer Liquid e will set you back a reasonable $50 when signing a 3 year contract or if you wish to go the contract-less route it will hit your wallet for some $350.
