Nokia Top Execs Abandoning Ship as Chairman to Quit in 2012
Well now just the other day Nokia announced that CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was to be replaced by Microsoft’s Stephen Elop, this was then followed by the resignation of Anssi Vanjoki, the head of Nokia’s Mobile Solutions, and now another top Nokia exec is on his way out.
According to an article over on Daily Mobile, and by way of Totaltele, a Nokia spokeswoman has announced that Nokia Corps Chairman Jorma Ollila plans to step down in 1012. Apparently some analysts worry that the continued presence of Jorma Ollila as chairman of Nokia would make it difficult for Elop to do his own thing.
The announcement of Ollila’s step down comes on a day when Nokia launched three new smartphones the Nokia C6, Nokia C7 and Nokia E7 at Nokia World 2010 in London.
Seems to me that there’s a big shake up going on at Nokia what with three top dogs leaving for pastures new. One has to wonder if Nokia will suffer from these losses or whether Microsoft’s Elop can pull it out of the bag and take Nokia on to greater heights.
