iPhone 4 Comes to China on 25th Sept
As of the 25th of this month, the people of China will be able to purchase the latest handset out of the Apple camp, the iPhone 4, Apple has announced. The iPhone 4 will become available as of 8am on the 25th in all Apple stores across China.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Kelly Hodgkins, Apple new stores in Shanghai and Beijing will celebrate their opening by offering the iPhone 4 and Apple stores in China will offer the 16GB off contract for CNY 4,999, which is roughly $743, and the 32GB for CNY 5,999 which is about $892.
The iPhone 4 will also be an exclusive for China Unicom as of the 25th and will be available to China Unicom customers with a 2 year customer agreement, although China Unicom has not yet revealed the subsidised pricing for the smartphone.
China Unicom is the second largest wireless carrier in China by subscribers at 150 million behind China Mobile, and with the launch of the iPhone 4 China Unicom could possible drag subscribers from the rival carrier.
