It appears that although the other day a Facebook spokesperson flatly denied that Facebook is working on a smartphone of their own, and you can read that article by hitting up (here). It seems the saga of the Facebbok phone just won’t go away.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Kelly Hodgkins and by way of a Bloomberg article, Facebook is apparently working closely with INQ to develop two handsets that will be Android based and deliver a wide range of Facebook centric features.
Although the Android smartphones will be tightly integrated with the social network as this time is isn’t know whether the handsets will feature Facebook branding, but word has it the two Facebook centric devices are expected to hit Europe in the 1st half of 2011.
While over in the States though, the word is Facebook is wooing AT&T with a view to offering the Facebook/INQ Android smartphones; however apparently the Big Blue hasn’t yet signed any deal as they are still evaluation the situation.
So would any of our readership be inclined to purchase a smartphone just because it is Facebook centric? Feel free to let us know by dropping us a comment below.
