A joint venture between India’s Tata DOCOMO and Alcatel has launched their first co-branded mobile phone called the OneTouch Net Phone which comes preloaded with numerous Yahoo services and 2 dedicated buttons, one for Tata DOCOMO’s Dive In portal and the other for Yahoo services.
According to an article over on The Times Of India, the OneTouch Net phone features a QWERTY keypad along with a special optical trackpad, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, MP3 player, and 80MB of ROM.
The OneTouch Net phone Yahoo services include Yahoo Messenger, Mail, Contact and Calendar, Yahoo search with voice, Yahoo homepage, Yahoo Social Pulse and Flickr.
The President of GSM and 3G at Tata Teleservices Limited, Deepak Gulati, has said “Living up to our strategy of Doing the New and bringing innovative services and solutions for our customers, we are pleased to announce the launch of the first Tata Docomo Co-branded device–the ‘OneTouch Net’, which is a Tata Docomo-Yahoo!- Alcatel phone.”
The Tata DOCOMO Alcatel One Touch Net phone is available in 2 colours, Black and Silver and White and Lavender, and will command a price tag of Rs 5499.
