More rumour about the much talked about and by now mythical Verizon iPhone today probably on the back of recent claims that Apple is to start building a CDMA iPhone in December, but the CEO of the Big Red has made some statements on the matter.
According to an article over on i4u by Luigi Lugmayr, and by way of Macrumors, Verizon boss Ivan Seidenberg that he hopes Apple will allow Verizon Wireless to sell the iPhone for their new 4G LTE network.
So it seems that Seidenberg has certainly crushed any hope that we’ll be seeing a Verizon iPhone in 2010. Verizon is to launch their 4G LTE network this year in 30 cities with a reasonable amount of coverage due in 2011.
So other than signifying that there will be no Verizon iPhone until 2011, does this also mean that a Verizon iPhone will be LTE enabled only so it can only surf the Big Red 4G waves?
