Dev-Team News: The latest exploit called ‘SHAtter’ has now been put in place to trick the Apple iPod touch 4G to restore to custom IPSW.
The Dev Team has SHAttered the iPod touch 4G, the SHAtter exploit was developed by @pod2g and it has now been put into a beta version of PwnageTool for a few tests. The video below shows that it is working fine such as customized Preferences to show battery percentage, Cydia, root shell and a few other things.
The new PwnageTool was a great test on the iPod 4G jailbreak via SHAtter but its main use will be for the iPhone 4, apparently allowing updates whilst preserving the baseband and of course the ultrasn0w carrier unlock.
iPhone users will be very excited soon according to the Dev-Team, please watch the video below and let us know what you think of the new iPod 4G being SHAttered.
