Toshiba has had a couple of previous Windows Mobile smartphones in the form of The Toshiba TG01 and TG02 handsets, but could Toshiba been looking at Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 for their latest device in their TG range?

According to an article over on Slash Gear by Chris Davies, and by way of the::unwired, the Global Certification Forum has now approved the latest smartphone out of Toshiba which is known as the TG03, and could well be the firm’s first Windows Phone 7 device.

The unfortunate thing though is as the Global Certification Forum listing is somewhat sparse when it comes to any detail it’s quite difficult to say whether it is or isn’t Toshiba’s first Windows Phone 7 smartphone.

Having said that what can be gleaned from the posting is that it’s not clear whether the Toshiba TG03 will have the same Qualcomm Snapdragon process as seen in the Toshiba TG01 and TG02 but the Toshiba TG03 will be quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE along with tri-band UMTS/HSPA 800/500/2100.
