The legal feud over patent infringements over in the states between iPhone 4 maker Apple and Nokia N8 maker Nokia continues, but it appears that Apple has now taken the legal fight across the pond and has sued Nokia in the UK.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Marc Flores and by way of Reuters, Apple has mounted legal action against Nokia in the United Kingdom over 9 mobile phone technologies. The legal argument between the two smartphone giants started back in October last year when Nokia kicked things off in the states by accusing Apple of profiting from Nokia technologies.
Mark Durrant, a spokesperson for Nokia has said…“We are investigating the claims, which appear to be based on nine implementation patents already in suit between the two companies in the United States.”
As for the US Apple/Nokia legal wrangle, the US ITC is due to decide on some of the claims between the two next year; however the key court hearings have been scheduled for 2012 in Delaware.
