Microsoft is getting fairly close to the launch of their new operating system Windows Phone 7 which they hope will revive the company in the smartphone arena, and today we have been blessed with some extra detail on the OS.
According to an article over on Softpedia by Ionut Arghire, Microsoft’s UK head of marketing for Windows Phone 7, Oded Ran, during a recent event confirmed that Windows Phone 7 will indeed come packing an MSN app and Messenger app, notes an article over on My Microsoft Life.
Furthermore according to said article Windows Phone 7 will also make provision for 3rd-party applications, but thus far hasn’t given any insight as to what 3rd-party apps they may be or if they would come with integration into hubs.
Microsoft didn’t show the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace during the event but the word is it should go live as soon as the first WP7 smartphones start hitting the streets, and there’s word that Microsoft is working hard with Facebook integration for the social networking minded.
