Microsoft and Motorola Fight Over Android Patent Infringements
I believe there will never be a year that goes by without one wireless company suing another wireless company over some form of patent infringement and last year was littered with them from Apple, to Nokia and BlackBerry to Motorola.
Now according to an article over on Engadget by Chris Ziegler, Windows Phone 7 champion Microsoft has apparently filed a complaint with the ITC against Droid champion Motorola for some Android related patent infringements.
Apparently Microsoft has file a total of 9 alleged paten infringements to do with Motorola’s Android based smartphones, and especially to do with “synchronizing email, calendars and contacts, scheduling meetings, and notifying applications of changes in signal strength and battery power.”
No doubt this new round of paten suing will drag on and on for years much like all the rest of these complaints involving patent infringement as no doubt a short and quick agreement isn’t on the cards.
