These mobile phones are still offered? Just joking, on a more serious note it appears that the Palm Pixi Plus, the sister handset to the Palm Pre Plus, is to become a Pay As You Go handset on the O2 UK network.

According to an article over on What Mobile, the Palm Pixi Plus on O2 will hit the PAYG zone as of the 7th of October and will be offered for £109.99 and in an addition for a limited period only will be supplied with a limited edition back cover that’s worth £29.99 when purchased with a £10 top up.

Of course the Palm Pixi Plus will still also be available on an O2 contract where the customer can have the device for free when signing their life away for a £25 per month agreement.

As for that limited edition back cover, well when a user first tops up that £10, O2 will supply an Artist Series battery cover for free by voucher redemption.
