Microsoft’s latest and greatest operating system, Windows Phone 7 will soon be upon the smartphone arena, well in Europe anyway, as for our buddies over in the US of A, well they have to wait until November to get to play with some Windows Phone 7 devices.
Over here in the UK those it looks like we get to play with Windows Phone 7 a little earlier, like this month according to an article over on Engadget by Thomas Ricker, who has posted a screen grab of the WP7 packing HTC Mozart found in the Phones 4U system which gives us some of the specifications for the device and confirms a late October release.
So it appears that the HTC Mozart will sport a 3.7 inch TFT LCD display, 8 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and 720p video recording, A-GPS, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 1 GHz processor, compass, proximity sensor, 8GB memory, 1300 mAh battery, and a 3.5mm jack.
Is it me or do most of these Windows Phone 7 smartphones sound remarkable similar in specs? One wonders if they are so close why they need to push out so many different variants. Anyway, word has it that the HTC Mozart may be a free smartphone when signing up for a £35 a month contract.
