The question “Can Jailbreak SHAtter iOS 4.1 Block Installous from Installing Cracked Apps?” has been asked many times and the answer is plain and simple ‘NO’.

Thanks to Mobiles DNA they report the new jailbreak cannot block Installous from installing cracked apps on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, so much so that Hackulous Dissident has stated, blocking Installous as “very shallow and close minded act”.

However, they can rename a package or site and that means they cannot remove the package from Cydia. Installous is illegal software but can be installed on Jailbroken iPhones.
