Sounds a bit like an Apple smartphone with that ISO3 name doesn’t it, but it’s not, it’s actually an Android handset from Sharp and KDDI which was on display at CEATEC 2010 in Japan, and we have some video footage of the device for your consideration below.
The Sharp ISO3 video comes our way courtesy of Chris Ziegler over at Engadget and lasts just over the one and a half minute mark. They say the Sharp ISO3 doesn’t feel like a high end handset as its made from cheap feeling plastic.
The Sharp ISO3 is an Android platform device sporting Android 2.1 with Sharp’s user interface skin over the top which apparently is somewhat sluggish, but might get better once Sharp hone the device a tad. The 960 x 640 ASV display did deliver crisp and bright imagery though considering the harsh lighting of the event.
The Sharp ISO3 also packs a 9.6 megapixel camera, Google branding, and an always-on LCD strip beneath the main display which shows the time and date even when the main display is off. Anyway that’s about it so I’ll let you hit that play button and enjoy the video.
