Are you a Star Wars fan with an Android smartphone? Then how about grabbing a little Star Wars action for your Android device, and no you don’t have to have the Verizon Droid R2D2 handset to enjoy this new app in the Android Market.
According to Kellex over on Droid-life, Verizon has said that the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back App is now available on the Android Market for “select” Verizon Android devices and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars saga, 30 years has it really been that long; my how time flies.
Apparently the Verizon Star Wars Empire Strikes Back App for Android is a free app located in the Verizon section of the Android Market, so I guess the app isn’t for us Star Wars fans over here in the UK which is a shame.
However apparently once downloaded it will cost the user $2.99 to unlock featured content like widgets, sound boards, live wallpapers, and apparently the $2.99 fee will be charged to your bill and not via Google checkout.
