Nokia N8 Spills its Guts in Teardown
Not even the latest flagship smartphone from the Nokia camp can hide from the teardown and dissection guys for too long, and thus the latest Symbian^3 packing smartphone, the Nokia N8 goes through the teardown ceremony.
According to an article over on Slash Gear by Chris Davies, the screwdriver guys over at iFixit have got hold of the much hyped Nokia N8 and gone through the motions of taking the handset apart screw by screw and putting it on show.
What was found in the Nokia N8 teardown was that the device has a sturdy, “creak-free” chassis, a battery that the user can’t swap much like the iPhone. That battery happens to be attached by a chip rather than soldered into place though.
Apparently the Nokia N8 wasn’t that difficult to take apart, and they rated the repair factor of the Nokia N8 eight out of ten, which is a pretty good score in anyone’s books. You can check out the full teardown by heading over to the iFixit website.
