One of the most popular mobile games of this year has to be the Angry Birds game which is available for Android, Symbian^3 and iPhone, but it would appear that Microsoft also wants Angry Birds to come to the Windows Phone 7 platform.
Microsoft seems to want Angry Birds so much for Windows Phone 7 that they posted an Angry Birds icon to their Windows Phone website without any permission from the developer Rovio, reports Sean Hollister of Engadget.
Apparently Angry Birds developer Rovio announced via Twitter that they are currently “not committed” to bringing Angry Birds to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform, and in response to someone saying “that’s right, don’t make an app for the biggest tech companies new phone..brilliant!!!“ further tweeted later “nothing to do with if we do or don’t, it’s just that we decide that ourselves.”
Furthermore, apparently Microsoft sent the following statement to TechFlash…”It appears information was mistakenly posted to Microsoft’s website, and has been removed.” Thus it would appear that Microsoft has made a genuine mistake, doesn’t distract from that fact that Microsoft obviously wants Angry Birds of their WP7 devices though does it.
