Yes you read correct Android fans; apparently the full version of Angry Birds for Android is now available and won’t cost you a penny to download to your Android smartphone, so why is Angry Birds for Android free?

Well according to the guys over at Daily Mobile, Angry Birds maker Rovio wants the Angry Birds mobile game to be available to as many people as possible and thus have decided to make the popular game free.

Angry Birds will run on 2nd gen Android smartphones running Android 1.6 OS and above and you’ll need to support OpenGL Es 2.0 and unfortunately QVGA display handset aren’t compatible yet but will be sometime in the future.

For those wishing to snap up Angry Birds for Android you won’t find it on the Android Market just yet but it soon will be, but the game can be downloaded to your handset from (here) although the website is experiencing some difficulty at the moment due to being extremely overloaded, but keep trying and eventually you’ll get there.
